Ladder rules

1. Challenges - Players may challenge up to 3 places above their current ranking. - Only 1 active challenge per player at a time. - Challenges must be accepted within 48 hours. If a challenge is not answered in time, the challenger takes the challenged player's position. 2. Match Format - Matches are best of 3 sets. The third set is a super tiebreak to 10. 3. Arranging Matches - Players arrange matches themselves. - Challengers should offer at least 3 time slots so their opponent has real options. If none suit, the challenged player can suggest alternative times instead of declining. - Matches should be played within 2 weeks of the challenge being accepted. 4. Ranking Movement - If the challenger wins, they take the higher player's position and other affected players move down one spot. - If the challenger loses, rankings stay the same. 5. Challenge Protection - After successfully defending their position, a player cannot be challenged again for 48 hours. 6. Activity - Players should aim to play at least 1 ladder match every 3 weeks. - Players inactive for long periods may be moved down the ladder by the organiser. 7. Injuries / Unavailability - Players unavailable due to injury, travel, etc. can pause their position by notifying the organiser. 8. Sportsmanship - Good sportsmanship and fair play are expected at all times. Any disputes will be resolved by the organiser. 9. Tennis Balls & Courts - Players organise courts and balls between themselves unless otherwise arranged by the club. 10. Results - The winner records the result on this site after the match and the ladder updates automatically. Your opponent has 7 days to dispute an incorrect result.
